Ingredients

  • 1 Vidalia onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. fresh mushrooms
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 clove garlic
  • olive oil
  • 6 pieces bread, buttered
  • 6 eggs
  • milk

Instructions

  1. Sauté the chopped Vidalia onion, fresh mushrooms, green peppers, and minced garlic together in olive oil.
  2. In a separate 9 x 12-inch pan, mix the buttered bread, eggs, and milk.
  3. Place the pieces of buttered bread into the pan.
  4. Add the sautéed vegetables to the pan.
  5. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and vegetables.
  6. Place in the refrigerator overnight (at least 8 hours). Add Cheddar cheese before cooking.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour.
