Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped small
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 16 oz. Longhorn Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 1/2 dozen corn tortillas

Instructions

  1. In a 6-quart pot, brown hamburger meat with chopped onion.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon flour; stir in meat until browned.
  3. Add 4 quarts of water.
  4. Add 4 tablespoons chili powder, chopped garlic, 1 teaspoon oregano, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon cumin.
  5. Stir until chili has dissolved in water.
  6. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 20 minutes.
