- In large pot, heat the spaghetti sauce.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey and Italian sausage with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Drain the cooked meat and add it to the sauce.
- In the same skillet, sauté sliced fresh mushrooms, chopped onion, and chopped bell pepper in olive oil.
- Stir in ripe olives and sprinkle with oregano, then add to the sauce.
- Stir in the can of tomato paste.
- Cook the sauce on low heat until hot throughout, or let simmer for more flavor.
- Cook spaghetti in boiling salted water with 1 teaspoon of oil to prevent sticking.
- Drain the spaghetti.
- Serve the sauce ladled over the cooked spaghetti.
