- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold egg whites into the batter.
- Stir in jam, raisins, small chopped apples, mashed banana, and chopped pecans.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
