Ingredients

  • 1 pastry for 9-inch pie
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • whipped cream or ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Prepare the pastry for a 9-inch (1 crust) pie and line a pie plate.
  3. In a large bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
  4. Add flour, sugar, and brown sugar; beat until well blended.
  5. Blend in melted and cooled butter.
  6. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate morsels and chopped walnuts.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared pastry-lined pie plate.
  8. Bake until set, about 1 hour.
  9. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
