Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 pound fish fillets
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tablespoon parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and chopped onion to make the marinade.
  2. Rinse fish fillets and pat dry.
  3. Place fish in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  5. Turn the fish over after 1 hour.
  6. Refrigerate the fish for an additional 1 hour.
  7. In a bowl, beat the eggs and milk together.
  8. Dip each fish fillet in the egg mixture, then coat with flour and bread crumbs firmly around the fish.
  9. Refrigerate the coated fish for about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
  10. Remove the fish from the skillet after frying.
  11. In a skillet, melt 1/4 cup butter and add crushed garlic, cooking until light brown.
  12. Stir in chopped parsley and pour the garlic butter over the fried fish.
  13. Serve with lemon wedges.
