Florentine Beef(Casserole)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. oregano (dried)
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. plain flour
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. spinach, cooked and drained
  • 4 oz. sliced Mozzarella or Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown beef, onion, mushrooms, garlic and oregano in a heavy frying pan over medium to high heat.
  2. Add salt and pepper.
  3. Stir in flour.
  4. Add beef broth and cook until thickened.
  5. Stir in sour cream.
  6. Add drained spinach.
