Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground round steak
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 1 grated onion
  • 3 to 4 slices white bread
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Grind the ground round steak and ground pork 3 to 4 times for a fine texture.
  2. Add the grated onion and the bread softened in milk to the ground meat mixture.
  3. Mix well to combine all ingredients evenly.
  4. Add the pepper, cloves, salt, and flour to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
  5. Gradually add milk or cream, a little at a time, stirring after each addition until the mixture reaches a manageable consistency.
  6. Shape the mixture into meat balls and fry in a skillet until golden brown and cooked through, about 10 minutes per side.
