Ingredients

  • 1 cup Kellogg's All-bran
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts
  • 1 cup seedless raisins

Instructions

  1. Measure Kellogg's All-Bran and place into a small bowl. Add milk and let stand until moisture is absorbed.
  2. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger; set aside.
  3. Beat brown sugar and butter or margarine until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla, then beat well.
  5. Mix in the All-Bran mixture.
  6. Gradually add the sifted ingredients, stirring until combined.
  7. Stir in coarsely chopped Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts and raisins.
  8. Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto a lightly greased baking sheet.
  9. Bake in a moderate oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the baking sheet and cool.
  11. If desired, frost with vanilla icing and sprinkle with chopped peanuts.
