Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 can bean sprouts with liquid
  • 1 small can water chestnuts, drained
  • 4 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pkg. pea pods, barely thawed
  • 1 can chow mein noodles

Instructions

  1. Put oil in a large skillet.
  2. Add chopped onions and sliced celery.
  3. Saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Add crumbled ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add cream of mushroom soup, uncooked rice, bean sprouts with liquid, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the mixture into a large casserole dish.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes at 350°F.
  8. Add barely thawed pea pods and stir to combine.
  9. Top with chow mein noodles.
  10. Bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes at 350°F.
