Ingredients

  • baking powder
  • vanilla
  • sugar
  • egg
  • light brown sugar
  • chocolate (one bar for bits, one for melting)
  • flour
  • nuts
  • milk
  • butter
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Cut one bar of chocolate into bits and set aside.
  2. Melt the other bar of chocolate over boiling water or very low heat.
  3. Allow the melted chocolate to cool.
  4. Mix sugars, butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla in a bowl.
  5. Add the cooled melted chocolate to the mixture.
  6. Gradually add the flour combined with salt and baking powder.
  7. Mix in the chocolate bits and nuts gradually.
  8. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet.
  9. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
