Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon rind
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • fresh strawberries
  • sweetened whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored.
  2. Gradually add sugar, beating well after each addition.
  3. Add flour, lemon juice, lemon rind, salt, sour cream, cottage cheese, and melted butter; beat until almost smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  5. Bake in a slow oven (300°F) for 1 hour or until set.
  6. Allow to cool or chill well.
  7. Serve topped with fresh strawberries and sweetened whipped cream.
