Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup soft butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 6 ounces Nestle butterscotch morsels
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Sift together the flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda; set aside.
  2. Combine the sugar, soft butter, and eggs in a bowl; beat until creamy.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture alternately with milk to the creamed mixture.
  4. Stir in rolled oats, butterscotch morsels, raisins, and chopped nuts if using.
  5. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12 to 14 minutes.
