Stuffed green peppers filled with a savory mixture of ground beef, rice, oats, and vegetables, baked with tomato sauce for a hearty and flavorful meal perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 6 green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 c. Minute rice
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. oats
  • 1/2 c. crackers or bread crumbs
  • 1/4 c. chopped green peppers
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix ground chuck, egg, rice, chopped celery, chopped onion, oats, crackers or bread crumbs, chopped green peppers, salt, and pepper to create the filling.
  2. Stuff the parboiled green peppers with the mixture.
  3. Place the stuffed peppers in a 13 x 9-inch dish and pour tomato sauce over the top.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 1 hour.
