Ground Beef Wellington

- Brown ground beef with dry onion soup mix in a skillet.
- Drain excess fat from the beef mixture.
- Stir in drained sliced mushrooms, minced parsley, shredded Cheddar cheese, and a slightly beaten egg; set aside.
- On a floured surface, roll half of the crescent roll dough into a 12 x 18-inch rectangle.
- Place the dough in a shallow baking pan.
- Spread the meat mixture on the dough and shape into a loaf.
- Roll the remaining dough and place on top of the meat.
- Seal the edges securely and trim any excess dough.
- Cut strips from the remaining dough and arrange in a crisscross pattern on top of the loaf or use a cookie cutter to create an attractive design.
- Beat the second egg and brush it over the top of the loaf.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
