Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper
  • 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (4 1/2 oz.) cans mushrooms
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp. fennel seed (optional)
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 12 oz. spaghetti
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray.
  2. Add ground turkey, chopped onion, and green pepper; cook and stir over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are tender, then drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, mushrooms, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  4. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions without oil or salt.
  6. Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti.
