Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 red pepper
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 6 oz fresh mushrooms
  • 26 oz plain Healthy Choice spaghetti sauce
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 15 oz can stewed chopped tomatoes
  • 7 to 14 oz thin spaghetti or vermicelli
  • garlic salt
  • pepper
  • 2 Tbsp oil or Pam spray

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground turkey in a skillet, finely chopping it as it cooks. Pour off any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion to the skillet and stir well.
  3. Wait 3 minutes, then add chopped red, green, and yellow peppers.
  4. Cook the onion and peppers, stirring frequently, until tender.
  5. Add the spaghetti sauce, tomato sauce, stewed chopped tomatoes, and cooked turkey mixture to the skillet.
  6. In a separate pot, cook the spaghetti or vermicelli according to package instructions, then drain.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce mixture and stir in sliced or chopped mushrooms last.
  8. Season with garlic salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
