Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms or 1/2 to 1 c. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (10.5 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c. dairy sour cream
  • fresh parsley or chives, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter or margarine and brown onion; add ground meat and cook until meat is brown and onion is tender.
  2. Stir in flour, salt, garlic, pepper, and mushrooms.
  3. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Stir in soup and heat until bubbly, stirring constantly.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  6. Stir in sour cream and heat through.
  7. Ladle over Poppy Noodles and garnish with fresh chopped chives.
