Ingredients

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups prepared pumpkin
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Blend together sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and prepared pumpkin; mix well.
  2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, grated nutmeg, and ground allspice.
  3. Add the dry ingredients alternately with water to the pumpkin mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in chopped hazelnuts and raisins.
  5. Divide batter among three greased 9-inch loaf pans.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
