Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey ⓘ
- dash garlic powder ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp oregano ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp basil ⓘ
- 1 (32 oz) jar Healthy Choice Italian sauce ⓘ
- 6 lasagne noodles
- 1 (16 oz) container low-fat cottage cheese ⓘ
- 2 egg whites ⓘ
- dash pepper ⓘ
- 1 Tbsp parsley flakes ⓘ
- 1 (8 oz) container low moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese, grated ⓘ
Instructions
- In a saucepan, cook the ground turkey until browned.
- Add garlic powder, oregano, and basil to the turkey and cook for another minute.
- Stir in the Italian sauce and simmer for a few minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the low-fat cottage cheese, egg whites, pepper, and parsley flakes.
- Spray a 13 x 9-inch dish with cooking spray.
- Layer 3 uncooked lasagne noodles at the bottom of the dish.
- Spread half of the meat sauce over the noodles.
- Spread half of the cottage cheese mixture over the meat sauce.
- Sprinkle with half of the grated low-moisture mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers: noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water during baking if the lasagne appears too dry.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
