Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 large can Italian style tomatoes, cut into small pieces
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 to 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 to 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a large pot and drain the fat.
  2. Add the Italian style tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped onion, chopped celery, salt, pepper, chili powder, and the beef bouillon cube to the pot.
  3. Simmer the mixture for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Optionally, transfer to a crock-pot and cook on low for 4 hours for deeper flavor.
