Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. Brussels sprouts, frozen
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 large chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 1 large red pepper or small jar pimientos
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup or celery soup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. ground white pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan, add bouillon cube, and stir to dissolve.
  2. Add frozen Brussels sprouts and cook until done.
  3. During the last few minutes of cooking, add green onions and red pepper or pimientos.
  4. Drain the Brussels sprouts and keep warm.
  5. In a separate pan, melt butter and crush garlic cloves into it.
  6. Add cream of chicken or celery soup, salt, and white pepper to the butter and garlic mixture.
  7. Combine the cooked Brussels sprouts with the sauce and serve.
