Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup very finely chopped green pepper
  • 2 green onions, minced
  • 2 1/2 oz. dried beef, rinsed and chopped
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 3 or 4 shakes onion salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese and sour cream with green pepper, green onions, dried beef, garlic, onion salt, and pepper.
  2. Put the mixture into a small casserole dish. (Can be made ahead.)
  3. Toast pecans in melted butter in a small skillet for about 2 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle toasted pecans over the cheese mixture.
  5. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until hot.
  6. Serve with Melba toast rounds or crackers. Can also be served cold.
