Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 onion
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 pt. peppers in tomato sauce
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Pillsbury ready pie crust

Instructions

  1. Saute onion in margarine until translucent.
  2. Brown ground beef in the skillet.
  3. Add tomato sauce, peppers, and grated Cheddar cheese to the beef mixture.
  4. Simmer the mixture while preparing the pie crusts.
  5. Fill the bottom pie crust with the beef and pepper mixture.
  6. Place the top pie crust over the filling and seal the edges.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, and bake for another 10 minutes.
  9. Let the pie cool before serving.
