Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean hamburger
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese
  • 2 loaves small round rye bread
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the hamburger and hot sausage; drain the grease.
  2. Add oregano, pepper, salt, and Worcestershire sauce; mix well.
  3. Stir in cubed Velveeta cheese and cook slowly until the cheese melts.
  4. Spread the mixture on slices of rye bread and place on a cookie sheet.
  5. Freeze until frozen, then transfer to a plastic bag.
  6. To serve, heat at 350°F (175°C) until the cheese is bubbly, about 10 minutes.
