Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen chopped turnip greens, thawed
  • 1/4 tsp. grated lemon rind
  • 1/2 cup chopped (fine) celery
  • 2 1/2 oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 10 3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup
  • 6 oz. roll process cheese food with garlic
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 drops hot sauce
  • 1/2 cup chopped (fine) onion
  • 2 Tbsp. melted oleo

Instructions

  1. Position knife blade in food processor bowl; add well drained and thawed greens; add lemon rind.
  2. Process until finely chopped.
  3. Cook onion and celery in butter over medium heat, stirring constantly, until tender.
  4. Stir in greens, mushrooms, cream of mushroom soup, process cheese food, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and melted oleo.
  5. Cook over medium heat until all ingredients are well mixed and melted together.
  6. Serve from a chafing dish.
