- Saute chopped onion, celery, bell pepper, and minced garlic in cooking oil in a skillet.
- Cook the macaroni in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- Remove vegetables from the skillet and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef in the same skillet with salt and pepper, then pour off excess grease.
- Mix the sautéed vegetables with the browned meat.
- Add barbecue sauce, tomato sauce, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce to the meat and vegetable mixture. Let simmer for a few minutes.
- Drain water from the cooked macaroni.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the macaroni.
- Spoon half of the meat sauce over the macaroni and sprinkle with 1 cup grated cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining macaroni and meat sauce, topping with 1 cup grated cheese.
- Bake at 350°F until the cheese melts and is bubbly.
