Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. sliced carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 oz.) can kidney beans
  • 2 c. water
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 tsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/2 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 c. shredded cabbage
  • 1 c. frozen green beans

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground meat in a large pot.
  2. Add diced onion, sliced celery, sliced carrots, and minced garlic; cook until vegetables are tender.
  3. Stir in the can of tomatoes, tomato sauce, kidney beans, water, beef bouillon cubes, parsley, salt, oregano, basil, and black pepper.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes.
  5. Add shredded cabbage and frozen green beans to the soup.
  6. Continue cooking until the vegetables and macaroni are tender.
