Tips & Substitutions
For added depth of flavor, consider using smoked kielbasa instead of regular. You can substitute the chicken broth with vegetable broth for a vegetarian version. If you don't have tortellini on hand, any pasta shape will work, but adjust cooking times accordingly. To amp up the nutrition, toss in some spinach or kale along with the broccoli.
Serving Suggestions
Serve the Kielbasa Tortellini Soup with crusty bread or a side salad for a complete meal. A sprinkle of grated Parmesan on top adds a nice finishing touch. This hearty soup also pairs beautifully with the Healthy Heart Soup for a comforting meal spread. It's perfect for meal prep or serving to a crowd on chilly evenings.
Storage & Reheating
Allow the soup to cool completely before transferring it to airtight containers. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For longer storage, consider freezing the soup in portions. When reheating, add a little extra broth or water if it has thickened too much during storage, and heat on the stove until warmed through.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use different types of sausage in this soup?
Yes, you can definitely substitute kielbasa with other types of sausage, such as Italian or turkey sausage. Just be sure to adjust the cooking time slightly, depending on the type of sausage you choose, and cook it thoroughly before adding the other ingredients.
What vegetables can I add to customize this soup?
Feel free to customize the vegetable mix to your liking. Zucchini, green beans, or even corn would work well. Just ensure that any additional vegetables are cut into similar sizes for even cooking, and adjust the cooking time if necessary.
Can I make this soup in advance?
Absolutely! This soup tends to taste even better the next day as the flavors meld. Just be cautious about adding the tortellini if you plan to store leftovers, as they can become too soft. You can cook them separately and add them when reheating.
