- Mix 1 cup flour, brown sugar and butter.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of mixture.
- Add egg, sour milk and vanilla to flour mixture.
- Sift remaining flour, soda and baking powder together.
- Add to butter and milk mixture.
- Blend.
- Pour into buttered 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Add cinnamon and nuts to reserved mixture.
- Sprinkle over batter. Bake in a 375° oven for 25 minutes.
