Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. Italian sausage
  • 1 lb. ground round
  • 1/2 large onion
  • 1/2 green pepper
  • 1/4 c. celery
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 large can tomatoes
  • 1 jar Ragu
  • 1 large can tomato paste
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pkg. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 container Ricotta cheese

Instructions

  1. Simmer beef and sausage until brown.
  2. Drain all fat.
  3. Simmer onion, pepper, and celery until tender.
  4. Add the vegetable mixture to the beef mixture.
  5. Add oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, and Ragu sauce.
  6. Simmer while cooking noodles.
  7. Layer sauce, noodles, Mozzarella, Ricotta, and sauce.
  8. Repeat to make 3 layers.
  9. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes.
  10. Let cool for 10 minutes.
