Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup water or milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. sherry
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham, chicken or turkey
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. Chinese long noodles or linguine

Instructions

  1. Saute mushrooms in margarine.
  2. Add condensed cream of mushroom soup, water or milk, shredded Cheddar cheese, and sherry.
  3. Cook, stirring constantly, until the cheese has melted.
  4. Add diced cooked ham, chicken, or turkey.
  5. Cook noodles according to package instructions.
  6. Do not rinse the noodles.
  7. Combine cooked noodles with the meat mixture.
  8. Pour into a shallow buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  9. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake at 375°F for 15 minutes or until bubbling.
  11. For a browner top, place under the broiler.
