If you prefer a bit of spice, add some diced jalapenos. Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to make mixing easier and more effective.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I make this dip ahead of time?
Absolutely! You can prepare the dip mixture a day in advance and store it in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to serve, simply hollow out the bread and fill it with the mixture, then bake as directed. This way, the flavors have time to meld together.
What type of bread works best for this dip?
A large round loaf of sourdough or pumpernickel works best because its sturdy texture holds up well to the dip. However, you can also use a crusty artisan bread for a different flavor. Just ensure it's large enough to create a good cavity for the dip.
Can I freeze this dip?
Freezing is not recommended for this dip as the texture may change once thawed. The cream cheese can become grainy, and the flavor may not be as vibrant. It's best enjoyed fresh or stored in the refrigerator for a few days.
