Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup soft margarine
  • 1 pound can fruit cocktail and juice
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients except nuts and chocolate chips in a bowl.
  3. Blend on low speed of mixer until well combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped nuts on top of the batter.
  6. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
