Instructions
- Add beaten eggs to sugar, molasses, and melted shortening.
- Add flour, sifted with baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
- Add boiling water and mix well.
- Pour batter into a greased pan.
- Bake in a 350°F oven for about 40 minutes.
- Serve warm with Victory Sauce and whipped cream.
