Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar

  • 1 cup dates, cut fine
  • 1 cup nutmeats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Beat eggs; stir in light brown sugar.
  2. Add flour, baking powder, salt, melted butter, vanilla, dates, and nutmeats; mix until combined.
  3. Pour batter into a greased 9-inch pan.
  4. Bake in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 35 minutes.
  5. Cut into squares and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
