Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. ground meat
  • 2 small bags pepperidge farm stuffing
  • 3 c. boiling water
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water, then pour over stuffing crumbs and stir well.
  2. Saute chopped celery and onion in butter until tender.
  3. Add the sautéed vegetables to the crumb mixture.
  4. Brown the ground meat and drain well.
  5. Stir the cooked meat and remaining ingredients into the crumb mixture.
  6. If the mixture seems too dry, add a little more chicken broth to moisten it.
  7. Spoon the mixture into a lightly greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour or until browned.
  9. Serve with traditional turkey dinner.
