Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 lb ground chuck
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal
  • 30 Ritz crackers
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Italian salad dressing
  • 16 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 10 slices Velveeta cheese
  • 3/4 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix ground chuck, eggs, chopped onion, oatmeal, crushed crackers, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Italian salad dressing, stewed tomatoes, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Divide three-quarters of the mixture and press it into a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Place cheese slices evenly over the mixture in the pan.
  4. Top with the remaining mixture, ensuring the cheese is enclosed in a pocket.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 1 hour.
  6. Remove from oven and spread ketchup and sugar over the top.
  7. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
