Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 1/3 cup ketchup

Instructions

  1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Form the mixture into 30 meatballs.
  3. In a large saucepan, combine ketchup and ginger ale.
  4. Heat the mixture to boiling and add the raw meatballs.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 45 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve the meatballs hot over buttered rice or noodles.
