Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 lb beef
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • dash pepper
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 3 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 8 oz lasagna noodles
  • 6 chopped green onions
  • 1 (4 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) sour cream
  • 1/2 lb cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 lb mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown beef in butter, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce to the meat and stir.
  3. Simmer covered for 20 minutes.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles, drain, and rinse with cold water.
  5. Mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions.
  6. Grease a 9x13-inch pan and spread a layer of sauce.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the sauce.
  8. Sprinkle a layer of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  9. Add a layer of cooked noodles.
  10. Repeat the sauce, cream cheese mixture, cheese, and noodle layers until all sauce is used, about three layers total.
  11. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
