Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 large cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 1 lb. Italian ground sausage
  • 1 large jar Prego chunky vegetable sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 2 large pkg. Mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions.
  2. Beat the egg and mix it with the cottage cheese, parsley flakes, and garlic powder.
  3. Brown the ground beef and Italian sausage, then drain excess fat.
  4. Add Prego chunky vegetable sauce and tomato paste to the meat, simmering until heated through. If too thick, add a little water.
  5. Coat a 9 x 13-inch pan with a little oil.
  6. Layer cooked noodles, meat sauce, and the egg and cheese mixture in the pan.
  7. Repeat the layers, ending with a layer of meat sauce on top.
  8. Cover the pan and bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
  9. Remove the cover and bake for another 30 minutes until bubbly and golden.
