Ingredients

  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup crackers
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and prepared mustard in a small bowl; set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, egg, crackers, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix the meat mixture thoroughly and shape into a loaf or place in a loaf pan.
  4. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 60 minutes, or until cooked through.
  5. Remove from oven and spoon the prepared sauce over the meatloaf before serving.
