Mildred'S Cornbread Dressing

Ingredients

  • 4 c. stock, milk or water
  • 5 c. cornbread
  • 5 c. biscuits
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1/3 c. hot fat
  • 4 boiled eggs, chopped
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning

Instructions

  1. Soak cornbread and biscuits in 4 cups stock, milk or water. Cook onion and celery in hot fat until golden.
  2. Combine bread and onion mix with eggs, salt, pepper and poultry seasoning.
  3. Add 4 cups stock to moisten.
  4. Cook at 325° for 1 hour.
