Ingredients

  • 3 oz. can chow mein noodles
  • 8 oz. can water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked chicken or tuna
  • 3/4 cup chopped cashew nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Set aside 1/2 cup of chow mein noodles.
  3. Combine all ingredients except the reserved noodles in a 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining noodles on top of the casserole.
  6. Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
