Mocha Dessert Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted flour ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons baking powder ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda ⓘ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon ⓘ
- 1 cup sour cream ⓘ
- 1/2 cup white sugar ⓘ
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup milk ⓘ
- 2 eggs ⓘ
- 1/4 cup softened butter ⓘ
- 3 teaspoons instant coffee ⓘ
- 1 teaspoon orange extract ⓘ
- 2 teaspoons water ⓘ
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans ⓘ
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips ⓘ
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, stir together coffee, orange extract, and water until coffee is dissolved.
- Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, white sugar, brown sugar, milk, and eggs.
- Add the coffee mixture to the wet ingredients and beat well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and softened butter, mixing until well blended.
- Stir in chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
