Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground meat
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup minute rice
  • 1 small head cabbage
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 large can sauerkraut, drained
  • salt
  • pepper
  • parsley
  • chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Mix ground meat, eggs, minute rice, salt, pepper, parsley, chopped onion, and garlic salt together in a bowl.
  2. Shape the mixture into 2-inch meatballs.
  3. Cut the cabbage into slices.
  4. In a large pan or crock pot, layer cabbage slices and meatballs, repeating the layers until all ingredients are used.
  5. Top the layered cabbage and meat with drained sauerkraut and tomato soup.
  6. Cover and simmer for 5 to 6 hours until flavors meld and meat is cooked through.
