Tips & Substitutions

For best results, use fresh, firm cucumbers and onions. If you prefer a bit more spice, consider adding a pinch of red pepper flakes to the mixture. You can substitute the sugar with honey or agave syrup for a different sweetness profile. Make sure to sterilize your jars thoroughly to prevent spoilage. If you’re short on time, try using pre-sliced vegetables.

Serving Suggestions

These Dutch pickles make a fantastic side for sandwiches or as a topping for burgers. They pair beautifully with Nonalcoholic Moonshine(Healthy) or can be served alongside grilled meats. Consider adding them to a cheese platter for a delightful contrast. They also work well in salads or as a tangy addition to wraps.

Storage & Reheating

Store the canned pickles in a cool, dark place for up to a year. Once opened, keep them in the refrigerator and consume within 4-6 weeks. If you have leftovers after opening, make sure to tightly seal the jar and refrigerate. Reheat the pickles in a pot over low heat, stirring gently to avoid breaking them.
