Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup corn flakes
  • 1/2 cup flaked coconut
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Cream margarine, sugar, and egg together until well blended.
  2. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  3. Stir in coconut, oats, and corn flakes until evenly combined.
  4. Drop teaspoon-sized dollops onto a greased cookie sheet, spacing them about 3 inches apart.
  5. Bake at 300°F (150°C) for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
