Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • ??? lb. beef chuck
  • 1/2 lb. veal
  • 1/2 lb. pork
  • 1 small onion
  • 3/4 cup fresh bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Instructions

  1. Combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, and 1/2 teaspoon oregano in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Assemble and attach the food grinder using a fine grinding plate.
  3. Turn to speed 4 and grind beef, veal, pork, and onion into a bowl.
  4. Add bread crumbs, egg, remaining oregano, salt, pepper, and half of the tomato mixture into the bowl.
  5. Attach the bowl and flat beater.
  6. Turn to speed 2 and mix for 1 minute.
