Ingredients

  • 1 lb. crab meat, flaked
  • 2 slices toasted bread
  • 2 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. green onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c. celery
  • 1/4 c. bell pepper, chopped
  • garlic to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Instructions

  1. Saute onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic in butter until tender.
  2. Mix the sautéed vegetables with crab meat, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, beaten eggs, chopped green onion, and crushed toasted bread slices.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties.
  4. Crush crackers and dip each patty into the crumbs to coat.
  5. Fry the crab cakes in hot oil or bake in a 400°F oven until golden brown.
